Airport Shuttle Service:
There are two shuttle services in Budapest which bring you to and from the airport to your flat.
Tram Number 2
Tram number 2 drives next to the Danube and around the Parliament. If you take a ride with it you will see some of the most famous sights in Budapest like the castle, Gellert hill or the parliament. You can just walk from the flat to the Danube and there you will find the station. This is a much cheaper way to get a tour of the city than by the tourist buses, also the famous American magazine, National Geographic, has collected the world's Top 10 trolley rides. Budapest”s tram no.2 has been awarded with the 7th place, being the best European line on the list. A ticket for tram number 2 costs around 1 Euro.
The Public Boat:
The public boat only goes during the summer times (from March 1 to October 31). One ticket costs 750 Forint. Budapest travel cards and passes are only valid on workdays not on weekends. Bicycles are also allowed on board. Take a ride at the Danube to get a view of the city from the river. The next station to you is Baraross tér next to the Petőfi bridge. You can take boat number 11 or 12. On this page you can find the timetable for the boat
Budapest Card :
This card provides you unlimited travel on public transport, one time free entry to the following museums: Budapest Museum of history, Aquincum Museum, Kiscelli Museum, Vasarely Museum, Hungarian National Gallery, New Budapest Gallery, Hop Ferenc Art Museum of the Far East; one time entry to the Szt.
