Welcome to the homepage of Budapest Residence! We would be very happy to welcome you soon in one of our apartments and are very happy to help you anytime. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Gladly we would love to give you tips on bars, and restaurants. We also have a small information booklet with restaurant recommendations, delicious Hungarian dishes and tips for activities on rainy days. You will find this in our apartments. Recently we also have created a guest app with a lot of information for you.

Information

Airport Shuttle Service:
There are two shuttle services in Budapest which bring you to and from the airport to your flat. 

  • MiniBud: this one charges per person, you can book it online via their homepage or over their app which is also called miniBud. 
  • ShuttleBudapest : This one charges per car. You can book your shuttle online or via phone. Phone number: +36706111300
      • They also offer transfers to festivals like Balatonsound or to the Formula 1. 

Tipps:

Tram Number 2
Tram number 2 drives next to the Danube and around the Parliament. If you take a ride with it you will see some of the most famous sights in Budapest like the castle, Gellert hill or the parliament. You can just walk from the flat to the Danube and there you will find the station. This is a much cheaper way to get a tour of the city than by the tourist buses, also the famous American magazine, National Geographic, has collected the world's Top 10 trolley rides. Budapest”s tram no.2 has been awarded with the 7th place, being the best European line on the list. A ticket for tram number 2 costs around 1 Euro. 

The Public Boat:
The public boat only goes during the summer times (from March 1 to October 31). One ticket costs 750 Forint. Budapest travel cards and passes are only valid on workdays not on weekends. Bicycles are also allowed on board. Take a ride at the Danube to get a view of the city from the river. The next station to you is Baraross tér next to the Petőfi bridge. You can take boat number 11 or 12. On this page you can find the timetable for the boat 

Budapest Card :
This card provides you unlimited travel on public transport, one time free entry to the following museums: Budapest Museum of history, Aquincum Museum, Kiscelli Museum, Vasarely Museum, Hungarian National Gallery, New Budapest Gallery, Hop Ferenc Art Museum of the Far East; one time entry to the Szt. Lukács Thermal Bath, 2 free English walking tours (one in Buda, one in Pest), as well as 10-50% off from over 100 establishments like baths, restaurants, churches and museums. You can find more information on their homepage or at the tourist office. The Budapest Card can be bought online, at the Tourist Information Centre or over MiniBud.

Szentendre
Relax a day in the beautiful small town called Szentendre next to the Danube and escape the stress and heat of the big city. There are two major companies offering boat trips to Szentendre.

COVID-19 INFO:

We have updated our cleaning and disinfection routines to provide you with a safe environment during these times. After check-out, the apartments are thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant; in all of our apartments you will find free hand disinfectant. Current information about entering Hungary can be found here, if you have any questions you can contact us at any time. We would also like to remind you about some WHO recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water
  • Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and others & avoid going to crowded places
  • Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth)
  • Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze
  • If you present any symptoms (fever, cough, breathing difficulty) contact the local health authority or give me a call and I will help you to seek medical attention


Rules

By booking in one of our apartments you agree to our house rules. These say the following:

  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Smoking inside the apartments is not allowed under any circumstances.
  • Please respect the neighbors.
  • Noise pollution is prohibited, especially between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m.
  • Parties and events are not allowed.

You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 15 days before arrival and we will refund the full amount. Unfortunately later cancellations are not refundable. If your booking is made less than 15 days before arrival, this booking cannot be canceled.
